G7 JAPAN FOOD SERVICE to Open BAKE CHEESE TART Shop in Kyoto on June 1 as Its 1st Roadside Store in Kansai

– Prime-quality, Rich-tasting Milk-based Tart to Be Put on Sale in Kansai –

G7 JAPAN FOOD SERVICE Co., Ltd., a Suma Ward, Kobe-based subsidiary of G-7 HOLDINGS, Inc. (Tokyo Stock Exchange code: 7508), will open the BAKE CHEESE TART Kyoto Teramachi shop in the Teramachi Kyogoku shopping arcade, also known as Teramachi Dori, on June 1, 2016, through an area license agreement with BAKE Co., Ltd.

It is the second BAKE CHEESE TART shop in the Kansai region following its Hanshin-Umeda shop in the Hanshin Department Store Umeda Main Building in Kita Ward, Osaka, the first one in Kyoto and the first roadside store in Kansai.

The Kyoto Teramachi shop will sell “Yakitate Cheese Tart” (“Freshly Baked Cheese Tart”), more than 130,000 of which are sold at the Hanshin Umeda shop a month, and “Gokujo Gyunyu Sofuto” (“Prime-quality, Milk-based Soft Tart”). This is the first time that “Gokujo Gyunyu Sofuto” has been sold in Kansai.

BAKE CHEESE TART opened its first shop in Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo, in February 2014 as a shop specializing in selling “Yakitate Cheese Tart,” a popular sweet that originated in Hokkaido. It subsequently opened nine more outlets in Tokyo’s Jiyugaoka district, Osaka, Fukuoka, Sendai and other areas. BAKE CHEESE TART opened a shop in Hong Kong as its first overseas outlet in August 2015. It now operates six overseas shops in areas including Thailand, South Korea and Singapore. BAKE CHEESE TART enjoys high popularity both in Japan and overseas as about 10 million such tarts are sold annually. Its first Kansai store on B1 of the Hanshin Department Store Umeda Main Building has enjoyed a good reputation since its opening in August 2015, selling more than 130,000 tarts a month.
